Shelters

National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) took the initiative, in cooperation with the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) and with funding from UN organizations (UNICEF, UNFPA, UNHCR) to develop a comprehensive quality system for shelter homes in Jordan (juveniles, the elderly, protection from domestic violence, beggary, and orphans) in several stages, starting with the development of quality standards for shelter care homes, and ending with the implementation of these shelters' enforcement of the accreditation and quality standards and receiving the accreditation certificate.
