Health Care Accreditation Council is not for profit organization based in Jordan, established to drive the continuous improvement of the quality and safety of health care facilities, services and programs, and foster patient-centered care through developing internationally accepted standards, capacity building and awarding accreditation in partnership with local and regional stakeholders. The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit a qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) to undertake “Developing of Clinical Guidelines and Pathways for Diagnostic Services for Persons with Disabilities” one year project, which is funded by the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD).

1- Subject Matter Expert (SME) -Autism Spectrum Disorder 

Job Summery:

The Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for the design and development of Diagnostic Clinical Guidelines and Pathways for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) with practical engagement of consultative taskforce group of specialists to enrich review and validate the content.

Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Orient the taskforce group of specialists on the expected process for developing the respective guidelines.
  • Facilitate the discussions and compilation of information and feedback from the taskforce group of specialists meetings.
  • Carry out literature review; run a complete best practices search on similar models worldwide; and, investigate in-depth existing national, regional and international strategies and related programs and laws that can inform the content development process.
  • Benchmark the current situation in Jordan to best practices, identify relevant recommendations, compile documentation and propose a framework for the Guidelines to be used as the foundation for the content development of the respective Guidelines.
  • Closely with the taskforce group of specialists finalize mapping out the flowchart of processes associated with the Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with medical background (doctor or therapist with at least 5 years of hands on experience in assessment and diagnosis of persons with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Experience at a high level with standards related to assessment and diagnosis of persons with disabilities.
  • Experience or participation in national or regional initiatives related to disabilities.
  • Well –versed in human rights and rights based approach.
