Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) Assessment Roadmap Development

The Health Care Accreditation Council, a non-profit organization based in Jordan, was established to lead comprehensive quality and safety improvements of the healthcare environment, services, governance, and worker performance through providing customized, high-end products with a commitment to sustainable practices and global standards, in partnership with local and regional stakeholders.

The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit the services of a qualified Subject Matter Expert for a short-term consultancy to develop a roadmap for EmONC services in Jordan including technical and financial objectives. This activity is part of a project implemented by HCAC and supported by UNFPA Jordan where a comprehensive assessment of obstetric and newborn care among Jordan has been conducted, the overall objective of this assessment is to generate evidence on the current availability, utilization and quality of EmONC and routine delivery services in Jordan. Based on the main findings and recommendations of Jordan`s EmONC Assessment 2022-2023 Report, HCAC and UNFPA will develop a national roadmap for EmONC services in Jordan.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced educational background in medicine, public health, RMNCH with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Qualified to work in woman and child health related topics (qualified by training and experience).
  • Has experience in health financing and budgeting.
  • Previous experience in developing and/or reviewing national strategies, and plans is desired.

 

Main Duties:

  1. Conducting a comprehensive review of Jordan`s EmONC Assessment 2022-2023 Report and other resources to set a draft of technical objectives for the roadmap.
  2. Developing a proposed budget for each technical activity within the roadmap.
  3. Attending meetings with EmONC National Technical Committee and stakeholders.
  4. Facilitating technical taskforce meetings with key stakeholders.
  5. finalizing the EmONC services roadmap based on collective research, analysis, and integration of stakeholder’s feedback.
