Vacancy Announcement (HCAC-2): Event Coordinator (Short-Term)

 

The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) is seeking a short-term Event Coordinator (5-month service contract) to act as the focal point for two major initiatives: Change Day and the HCAC Healthcare Conference. The coordinator will work closely with service providers, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure both events are effectively planned and successfully executed.

About the Events

1. Change Day
Change Day is a national social movement campaign promoting patient safety through pledges made and implemented by healthcare workers on the event day.

2. HCAC Healthcare Conference
A biennial event gathering healthcare professionals, policy makers, and stakeholders to share insights, innovations, and best practices in healthcare quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Change Day Coordination

  • Oversee full campaign coordination (digital and on-ground).
  • Manage content updates on the Change Day website.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns (including video production).
  • Plan and deliver virtual orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate communication material distribution to health institutions.
  • Organize HCAC staff visits to institutions on Change Day.
  • Manage VIP pledge documentation and promotion.
  • Coordinate media outreach and press release distribution.
  • Oversee monument illumination activities and final campaign reporting.

 

HCAC Conference Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the event planning company, speakers, sponsors, and venue staff.
  • Manage speaker communications, travel, and accommodations.
  • Draft and finalize the conference agenda and program booklet.
  • Coordinate on-site logistics and branding materials.
  • Supervise registration, ushering, VIP attendance, and media coverage.
  • Compile a post-event report summarizing outcomes and performance.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in event coordination and social media campaign management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Report writing and basic data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
