The Health Care Accreditation Council is a not-for-profit organization based in Jordan, specialized in improving quality and safety in health care facilities, services and programs, and fostering patient-centered care through developing internationally accepted standards, developing and implementing quality management systems, building the capacity of administrators and providers as well as awarding accreditation and monitoring compliance.

The Health Care Accreditation Council has been implementing for the past 3 years a preparation for accreditation program in Al-Bashir hospitals under USAID funding. HCAC is now seeking qualified candidates to fill multiple positions for the remaining duration of the project (18 months). Job Summary


Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)


The incumbent will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) to manage the day-to-day technical and administrative operations of the project. His/her duties include providing technical input into the delivery of the program, managing the goals, and ensuring progress as agreed in the workplans, providing risk assessment, mitigating challenges and highlighting success, managing the team as per the identified deliverables. The DCOP will oversee the communication, buy-in and compliance of the beneficiary and its multitude of administrators and stakeholders and will assume full responsibility for the project in the absence of the COP.

University degree in health-related field required, (master’s degree is a plus).

Minimum of 8 years in healthcare setting with specific expertise in quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation systems.

Experience as a Deputy COP or similar senior level experience on a large, donor-funded program.

Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (preferred) and Arabic (required).

Experience reporting clearly and comprehensively on a complex portfolio of activities.

Training and consultation officer

The incumbent will be providing education, technical assistance, and consultation services to assist the hospital in improving care by meeting HCAC standards. S/He will be responsible for planning, organizing and delivering the said activities, train all levels of healthcare staff in skills needed to build quality management systems and implement HCAC standards as well as prepare written regular progress reports.

University degree in health-related field required, (Master Degree is a plus).

4 – 5 years’ experience in healthcare preferably in hospitals, with knowledge of health care standards, accreditation processes, quality improvement methodology, and adult learning principles and participatory training approaches.

Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills

Fluency in oral and written Arabic (required) and English (preferred) skills

Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer

The incumbent will support the project management team in all data collection, analysis, and learning activities to help ensure accountability and efficiency from start to finish for the project. S/He will work closely with Program team to assess field conditions, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate the collection of quality data under the supervision of the project manager. In addition, S/He will build the capacity of project staff in monitoring and evaluation, and specifically how to demonstrate impact and will assist Project Manager in preparing quarterly/annual reports on project progress and will monitor the overall progress of the project in achieving outcomes.

University degree in Economics, Business Administration, or any other related field; Master’s degree is preferable

Five (5) years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation in USAID or other donor-funded programs.

Communication Officer

Within Al-Bashir hospitals and campus, the incumbent will be responsible for developing all communication plans and material and designing the communication activities and methods of dissemination for the dissemination of information regarding Al Bashir Hospitals quality improvement activities to raise the level of knowledge, buy-in and participation in the accreditation process. This will include the design, provision and follow-up of information road shows, awareness workshops and campaigns, public dissemination sessions, and the ensuant required materials, communication, and arrangements with the stakeholders, and the development of any related reports.

University degree in social media and communication or related fields.

2-3 years’ experience in social media and communication, preferably in USAID funded projects.

Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills

Fluency in oral and written Arabic (required) and English (preferred) skills
