HSQA-2: Technical Officer

The Health Care Accreditation Council is a not-for-profit organization based in Jordan, specialized in improving quality and safety in health care facilities, services and programs, and fostering patient-centered care through developing internationally accepted standards, developing and implementing quality management systems, building the capacity of administrators and providers as well as awarding accreditation and monitoring compliance.

Under HSQA, a USAID funded project, HCAC is implementing a Patient Experience Program that aims to empower patients to voice their needs and concerns and address all interactions that patients have with the healthcare system, including their care from health plans, doctors, nurses, and staff in the facilities, as understanding patient experience is a key step in moving toward patient-centered care.

HCAC is seeking candidates for the position of  “Technical Officer” as per the following Responsibilities: 

  1. Patient Experience Program
  • Healthcare Centers
  1. Develop comprehensive action plans for enhancing patient experience in healthcare centers, based on the results of periodic data collection and measurement.
  2. Monitor and ensure the timely execution of these action plans through regular follow-ups with each healthcare center. This process requires half-a-day per month per healthcare center, and may be conducted through onsite visits or offsite remote follow-ups.
  3. Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports that clearly articulate and explain the healthcare centers' achievements in relation to their action plans. This process requires one working day per quarter per healthcare center and will be carried out remotely (offsite).
  4. Discuss the semi-annual patient experience reports and results with healthcare centers; and subsequently, update action plans to align with the findings. This will be carried out during follow-up visits.
  • Hospitals
  1. Develop comprehensive action plans for enhancing patient experience in hospitals, based on the results of periodic data collection and measurement.
  2. Monitor and ensure the timely execution of these action plans through regular follow-ups with each hospital. This process requires half-a-day per month per hospital, and may be conducted through onsite visits or offsite remote follow-ups.
  3. Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports that clearly articulate and explain the hospitals' achievements in relation to their action plans. This process requires one working day per quarter per hospital and will be carried out remotely (offsite work).
  4. Discuss the semi-annual patient experience reports and results with hospitals; and subsequently, update action plans to align with the findings. This will be carried out during follow-up visits.
  5. Carry out quarterly data collection against predetermined women-friendly health indicators.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in health or social related fields
  2. At least 3 years of experience in healthcare or social care.
  3. Fundamental understanding of indicators, data collection, analysis, and visual reporting.
  4. Proficient in MS WORD and EXCEL with the ability to build basic formulas.
  5. Technical background and ability in collecting clinical data collection is preferable.
  6. Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  7. Basic knowledge of action plans and their content.
  8. Good reporting skills, preferably in English.
