For the ninth year in a row

 "Change Day" initiative on 9/19/2022
Under the slogan (Medicine Without Harm)

Coinciding with the World Health Organization's World Patient Safety Day  With the aim of shedding light on initiatives that ensure the safety of patients, auditors and workers in health institutions
Think of an innovative idea, make a pledge on our website, implement your pledge on the day of change, and invite your acquaintances to participate with us.

A collection of facts about a drug without harm:

1- Medication-related errors alone cost about $42 billion annually.

2- More than 50% of the damages associated with medicines can be reduced in the coming years, by taking early measures to ensure the safety of medicines and the safety of patients.

3- Approximately 7% of the number of patients staying in hospitals around the world is due to medication-related errors, and more than two-thirds of these reasons are considered avoidable.

4- Most of the medication errors in the world are due to three main reasons: the doctor dispenses the wrong medication, or the medication was wrongly prepared, or the patient takes the medication incorrectly.

5- The number of deaths has exceeded one million and 200 thousand people around the world since 2019, due to the increasing ability of bacteria to resist as a result of the misuse of antibiotics in treatment.

8 questions that you must know the answers to when starting to use a new drug to ensure safe use without harm:

1- What is the scientific and commercial name of your medicine?

2- How will the medicine contribute to improving your health condition? How long is the expected period for the results of the use of the new drug to appear?

3- How much is the appropriate dose for you and how long is the required period of use based on your health condition?

4- What should I do if I miss a dose?

5- What should I do in case of an overdose?

6- Is there any conflict with the new medicine with my other medicines, or with a certain type of drink or food?

7- Is there any physical activity that interferes with the use of the new drug?

8- What are the side effects that may occur during the use of the drug, and what is the appropriate action if any of them appear?
