(CHN-1) TECHNICAL FIELD OFFICER
As part of the USAID-funded Community Health and Nutrition Activity , which is a 6-year Activity (2020-2026) that aims to improve the nutritional status of children under two, pregnant, and lactating women in target areas and seeks to support child and maternal health and nutrition status by improving breastfeeding practices, introducing appropriate complementary foods at the right time, and ensuring appropriate child spacing through uptake of postpartum family planning (FP) and use of modern contraceptive methods.
The HCAC is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position “Technical Field Officer for the Optimal Maternal, Infant, and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) Model Qualification Program. Technical Field Officer

The incumbent will:
- Support ongoing quality improvement QI in participating facilities through conducting coaching field visits on regular basis and as needed and developing field visits reports accordingly
- Monitor the progress on Optimal MIYCN Model implementation through updating developed changed package at each visit and collect the required data and indicators.
- Train all levels of healthcare staff in skills needed to implement Optimal MIYCN Model Qualification Program
- Assist in conducting learning sessions for participating facilities
- S/He will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering the said activities
- Supervise MIYCN/PPFP services at related health facilities, including breastfeeding counseling. Other requested duties

- University degree in health-related field required, (master’s degree and/or IBCLC is a plus) with 4 – 5 years’ experience in Maternal and Infant healthcare settings.
- With knowledge of health care standards, quality improvement methodology, and adult learning principles and participatory training approaches.
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrable ability in report writing
