Support the Review of the National Standards for Youth-Friendly Reproductive Health Services 

The Health Care Accreditation Council, a non-profit organization based in Jordan, was established to lead comprehensive quality and safety improvements of the healthcare environment, services, governance, and worker performance through providing customized, high-end products with a commitment to sustainable practices and global standards, in partnership with local and regional stakeholders. 
The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) is seeking to recruit the services of a qualified consultant for a short-term consultancy to assist in the review of the national standards for youth -friendly reproductive health services. This activity is part of a project implemented by HCAC in collaboration with the Higher Population Council and supported by UNFPA Jordan.

Qualifications:

  • At least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Previous experience working in reproductive health services, particularly with youth populations is required.
  • Additional training or certification in areas related to sexual reproductive health is preferred.
  • Previous experience in developing and/or reviewing standards is a plus.
  • Previous experience with international organizations (e.g., UN, USAID, UNFPA etc.) is preferred.
  • High awareness of the primary health care context in Jordan
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills in Arabic and English language

Main tasks required:

  1. Supporting the review of the national standards for youth -friendly reproductive health services mainly the standards related to the reproductive health services including counseling and information, diagnosis, treatment and referral.
  2. Conduct desktop research of the updated national and international guidelines related to youth reproductive health services.
  3. Facilitating workshops with stakeholders from different sectors.
  4. Conduct training workshops for health centers staff in the updated standards areas.
  5. Submitting the updated final set of standards.
