Vacancy- (UNFPA-4) Subject Matter Expert

The Health Care Accreditation Council is a not-for-profit organization based in Jordan, that specialized in improving quality and safety in healthcare facilities, services, and programs, and fostering patient-centered care through developing internationally accepted standards, developing and implementing quality management systems, building the capacity of administrators and providers as well as awarding accreditation and monitoring compliance.

The Health Care Accreditation Council is looking for a Senior Technical Expert to support its engagement with one of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) funded projects in conducting a MISP readiness assessment for Jordan. The objective of the Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP) assessment is to assess the country’s readiness to provide essential sexual and reproductive health services in humanitarian settings and to make an action plan to strengthen services where there are noted gaps.

Responsibilities

The Consultant’s objective will be to support HCAC in rolling out the MISP Readiness Assessment (MRA), coordinate the process and collect the needed documents to conduct the MRA, in addition to the following:

  • Ensure the review and documents related to the assessment, such as policies, guidelines, etc.;
  • Participation in communication with stakeholders
  • Ensure the focus group discussions execution
  • Ensure Compiling the input from the partners involved in the assessment and key stakeholders;
  • Ensure that the final report with recommendations is developed based on results from the desk review, questionnaires, and discussions with partners.

 

Education:

Academic Requirements: An advanced degree in Public Health, Medicine, Gender Studies, and/or other similar background and relevant knowledge is required, or a bachelor’s degree in similar fields.

Knowledge and Experience:

The consultant is expected to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Health Sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SRH programming in Jordan (including the MISP)
  • Skills in training, monitoring, and evaluation of health interventions
  • Excellent coordination and facilitation skills, involving diverse and inter-disciplinary stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, research presentation, and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills in Arabic and English are required.
