UNFPA-Short -Term Consultant

The Health Care Accreditation Council, a non-profit organization based in Jordan, was established to lead comprehensive quality and safety improvements of the healthcare environment, services, governance, and worker performance through providing customized, high-end products with a commitment to sustainable practices and global standards, in partnership with local and regional stakeholders. 

The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit the services of a qualified Consultant who can work for approximately 10 days to revise the current Woman Friendly Healthcare Services Standards operating procedures (SOPs) and to include mental health services as part of women life cycle starting from youth till menopause and after menopause. This activity is part of the “Women Friendly Healthcare Services Recognition System development in Jordan” Project, which aims to advance reproductive and sexual health services provided to women in primary health centers which is funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). 
 

Main tasks required:

  1. Revise curernt standards operating procedures (SOPs) for mental health services (e.g., postpartum mental health, youth mental health) offered as part of women friendly healthcare services, based on the current best practices.
  2. Conduct 1-2 onsite visits to selected primary health care centers to test that SOPs applicability.
  3. Attending the taskforce meetings related SOPs, and as needed.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating why they are qualified to perform the described task, including CV and description of similar assignments to hc1vacancy@gmail.com, this includes:

  • Advanced university degree in healthcare or any relevant field.
  • Demonstrated experience in mental health.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
