ANN Vacancy Announcement - Research Assistant 

The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) is looking for a Research Assistant to assist them in gathering accurate, credible information and summarizing their findings for a 6-month limited contract. His or her responsibilities include searching archives for information, conducting literature reviews, and conducting research interviews.Under the direction of the project manager, the candidate for this position will work on:

  1. Maintain high quality standards to ensure the accuracy of data and findings.
  2. Plan and carry out interviews with the eligible participants
  3. Choose the eligible participants that met the research objective and obtain permission from all eligible participants.
  4. Analyze Data using various statistical methods.
  5. Submit regular Reports to summarize data and the implications of the findings.

 

The applicant qualifications must include: 

  1. A degree in nutrition, midwifery, nurse.
  2. Work experience as a Research Assistant or similar role is a plus
  3. Excellent communication skills 
  4. Excellent administrative skills
  5. Knowledge of research methods
  6. Ability to work under pressure
  7. Excellent time management skills
  8. Not a current health private sector employee.
  9. Outstanding Communication Skills verbal and written.
  10. Problem-solving skills and proven ability to address issues.
  11. Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel: Essential; Advanced data processing: Preferred.
  12. Experience in using a data collection tools, ODK, Kobo Tool box and others
