Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC):
The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) is Jordan and the region’s only nonprofit ISQua accredited institution dedicated to improving the quality of health care services and promoting patient safety through accreditation, consultation and capacity building.
The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) was officially registered in December 2007; it is the working result of many different health care stakeholders ranging from the government, governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations to health professional associations, health providers and members of the society and public who are committed to the mission and vision of the HCAC. The HCAC is recognized by the International Society for Quality in HealthCare (ISQua), and currently holds the three ISQua accreditations for the organization, surveyor training program, and standards.
HCAC’s mission to drive the continuous improvement of the quality and safety of health care facilities, services and programs and foster patient-centered through developing internationally accepted standards, capacity building and awarding accreditation in partnership with local and regional stakeholders.
Project Overview:
USAID/Jordan awarded a five-year Cooperative Agreement, the Health Service Quality Accelerator Activity (HSQA) to accelerate and maintain improvements in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) outcomes through the public and private health sectors in Jordan.
HSQA’s primary objectives are to improve the quality of the supply side of healthcare and to identify and address some of the barriers that hinder equitable access and utilization of RMNCH services, focusing on vulnerable populations within Jordan.
Position Overview:
Coordinating and implementing activities to provide consultation services to assist health care organizations improve and institutionalize quality of services and care of RMNCH and FP
Job Description:
• Quality improvement programs, methodologies, approaches and tools
• Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health services (RMNCH)
• Donor-funded programs and requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
• B.Sc. in medically related field, M.sc in health care management/education is preferable.
• 3-5 years’ experience in health-care quality management, consultation experience on donor funded projects is preferable.
• Fluency of English and Arabic language, oral and written.
• Outstanding skills in report writing, data analysis, organization, communication & time management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and in an international working environment.
