Vacancy- (HCAC-5) Subject Matter Expert 

Healthcare Accreditation Council is currently seeking a highly qualified short-term expert to assist in the preparation and design of the chemotherapy area at an oncology hospital. The selected expert will play a crucial role in ensuring the development of a safe, efficient, and patient-centered chemotherapy preparation system.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Consultation team, hospital management and clinical teams to design a chemotherapy preparation area that meets current evidence-based safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement best practices for chemotherapy Management (preparation, storage, handling and administration).
  • Provide guidance on equipment and infrastructure requirements for optimal workflow.
  • Deliver Face-to-face Training for relevant hospital staff on the new system and ensure compliance with approved protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing chemotherapy preparation areas in hospitals or cancer treatment centers.
  2. Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting is a plus.
  3. Current certification in oncology pharmacy, chemotherapy preparation, or a related field. Certification from recognized institutions in safe handling of chemotherapy and hazardous drugs is highly desirable (e.g., OSHA, NIOSH, ASHP), and regulatory standards related to oncology pharmacy.
