HCAC Achieves AHA Accreditation as an International Training Center and Expands Its Programs to Iraq

The Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) announced that it has been officially recognized as an International Training Center by the American Heart Association (AHA) in Jordan, with the expansion of its training programs to beneficiaries in Iraq, marking a significant milestone in advancing specialized healthcare training across the region.
This accreditation enables HCAC to deliver high-quality, life-saving training programs for healthcare professionals and community members, in line with the latest 2025 international standards issued by the AHA, strengthening emergency preparedness, enhancing critical care competencies, improving patient outcomes, and building national and regional capacities in emergency and lifesaving care.
In this context, Thaira Madi, CEO for Technical Services at HCAC, participated in the AHA MENA Healthcare Forum 2026 held in Dubai, where she was awarded a recognition certificate in appreciation of HCAC’s role in advancing healthcare training, building regional capacity, and fostering institutional collaboration.
On the sidelines of the forum, the official cooperation agreement between HCAC and AHA was signed, aiming to expand joint training programs, enhance healthcare provider competencies, and promote the adoption of international best practices in CPR, emergency response, and lifesaving care.
HCAC emphasized that this achievement represents a strategic step toward improving healthcare quality, strengthening patient safety culture, and empowering healthcare professionals and communities with the knowledge and skills needed to build more resilient and sustainable health systems across Jordan, Iraq, and the region.
