Vacancy (HCAC-6): Trainer on Gender Based Violence (GBV) 

The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit a qualified Subject Matter Expert who can work 2 days during October to design and develop the training material and for 4 days during November 2024 to deliver comprehensive training on gender-based violence (GBV) to healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, midwives and social workers to enhance their knowledge, skills, and ability to respond effectively to GBV issues within their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Design and Development:
    • Develop training materials, curricula, and resources tailored to the specific needs of the target audience.
    • Ensure that content reflects national protocols, current research, best practices, and legal frameworks related to GBV.
  2. Training Delivery:
    • Conduct training sessions using a variety of engaging and interactive methods, including workshops, discussions, and role-playing.
    • Facilitate group activities that encourage participation and foster a supportive learning environment.
  3. Resource Provision:
    • Provide participants with relevant resources, tools, and references for further learning and support on GBV issues.
    • Offer guidance on how to access additional services and support systems for GBV survivors.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in public health, gender studies, social work, or a related field.
  2. Min. of 10 years of professional areas with a focus on gender-responsive approaches.
  3. Proven expertise in Gender-based violence (GBV) counseling protocols and strategies for risk reduction, particularly within healthcare settings.
  4. Experience working on projects funded by international organizations or donors is a plus.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and facilitate discussions effectively.
  6. Proven experience in training, facilitation, and capacity-building in relevant fields.
  7. Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  8. The candidate must not currently be employed by the Jordanian Ministry of Health (MOH) or the Royal Medical Services (RMS).
