USAID Health Service Delivery is implemented in Jordan by Abt Associates and is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID Health Service Delivery seeks to improve health outcomes to women of reproductive age and children under five in Jordan, by increasing access to and quality of Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health including nutrition, Non-communicable diseases and Gender Based Violence (RMNCH+) services.
USAID Health Service Delivery also seeks to expand the capacity of Jordan health system to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by increasing its efficiency and effectiveness, simultaneously; it will protect and build on previous gains in family planning services by targeting both the public and private sectors to enhance the quality and responsiveness of health services. Through innovative and scalable interventions, USAID Health Service Delivery will improve access to quality services through expanding health networks; promoting the integration of key reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health interventions; and fostering community ownership to increase health facility accountability. These efforts will focus on heavily populated, urban, and poor areas to meet their health needs.
