As part of the UNICEF-funded activity with Health Care Accreditation Council. HCAC is searching to recruit experts in supporting breast feeding practices and implementation of Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) requirements and building the capacity of healthcare workers interested in this field, The incumbent will assist Baby Friendly Hospitals in implementing the ten steps to successful breastfeeding. S/he will oversee the training for all levels of healthcare staff in the skills required to carry out the ten steps and lactation support and counselling in a high-quality manner.

The applicant qualifications must include:

Clinical degree or diploma (Paediatrics, Obstetrics and/or Gynecology, doctors, midwifery, nurse).

Minimum of ten years professional work experience in delivery, NICU, and/or Postpartum wards.

Familiarity and/or experience with BFHI to improve provider practices; preferred experience in the Middle East/Jordan or The Gulf.

Have and advanced training knowledge and experience in breastfeeding support – preferably IBCLC or other equivalent certifications.

Breastfeeding counselling experience is a plus.

Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.

Has the ability to produce high-quality documents and reports within tight deadlines.

Outstanding facilitation, coaching and training abilities.

Collaboration skills with government officials and other stakeholders.

Outstanding communication abilities.

Knowledge of Jordan's accreditation processes and health-care systems is a plus.
