Vacancy (HCAC-7): Trainer on Disability Etiquette and Inclusivity

 

The Health Care Accreditation Council is seeking to recruit a qualified Subject Matter Expert who can work 2 days during October to design and develop the training material and for 4 days during November 2024 to provide training on disability etiquette and inclusivity to healthcare workers including doctors, nurses, midwives and social workers to promote understanding, respect, and inclusive practices when interacting with individuals with different types of disabilities (e.g. Physical, Hearing Impairment, Blindness… etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Design and Development:
  • Develop comprehensive training materials and curricula tailored to the needs of the target audience, including practical examples and scenarios.
  • Ensure the content reflects current best practices, legal requirements, and cultural sensitivity regarding disability etiquette.
  1. Training Delivery:
  • Conduct interactive training sessions using a variety of engaging and interactive methods, including workshops, discussions, and role-playing.
  • Facilitate group activities that encourage participation and foster a supportive learning environment.
  1. Resource Provision:
  • Provide participants with pertinent information, tools, and guidelines to help them learn more about disability etiquette and apply it in their interactions.
  • Share best practices and case studies that demonstrate effective communication tactics with people who have disabilities.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in public health, social work, or a related field.
  2. Extensive knowledge regarding disability rights, etiquette, and inclusive behaviors.
  3. Extensive knowledge regarding infrastructure adjustments for disabilities
  4. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and facilitate discussions effectively.
  5. Proven experience in training, facilitation, and capacity-building in relevant fields.
  6. Ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  7. The candidate must not currently be employed by the Jordanian Ministry of Health (MOH) or the Royal Medical Services (RMS).
