HCAC has developed a number of educational services including certification courses as well as training courses and workshops. All our courses are designed with adult educational methodology of teaching and stem from best practices as well as real life cases and experiences. There are three types of educational trainings:

HCAC offers, on a yearly basis, a number of training courses and workshops over 2 or 3 day periods - both in English and Arabic. These workshops cover a diverse number of topics in quality and patient safety; some of which are for beginners and others more advanced. HCAC continuously expands its work in this area and can tailor its courses and workshops to the needs of the beneficiary.

Workshop Description

The purpose of this workshop is to train senior management how to be effective leaders promoting quality patient care. Developing the mission statement and communicating it to all employees, developing the strategic plan is part of the effective leadership, and apply management skills in the daily work.

Workshop Description

The purpose of this workshop is to train participants on how to develop a continuous quality improvement and patient safety program. To improve quality and reduce risks, the health care institution must establish a formal process to continuously evaluate (measure) its performance and use that information to identify ways in which to improve care/services. The participants will learn and have the opportunity to practice using quality improvement methods and tools designed to facilitate the quality improvement process in the work setting.

Workshop Description

The purpose of the workshop is to train the participants on how to develop and improve the quality of medical records. Medical records are the source document that allows evaluation of the quality of care, effective communication among all healthcare professionals in addition to promoting continuity of care during and after hospitalization.

Workshop Description

The purpose of this workshop is to help the participants develop hospital wide infection prevention and control plan, have the knowledge about outbreak management, surveillance, hand hygiene, and techniques of disinfectants in addition to applying the plan developed and the information gained to their work.

Workshop Description

This workshop the processes of creating a BSC system in a generic organization – linking the organizational mission / vision and values statements into a BSC framework; development of strategic themes and perspectives; development of meaningful strategic objectives for an organization and development of theme based strategy maps. The course includes discussion of examples of BSC implementations and case studies.

Workshop Description

This workshop provides participants with the common understanding of what the Lean methodology is and how health care rganizations can deploy it. During the workshop, senior management will develop a Lean Transformation Strategy (LTS) and implementation plan, based on the organization’s strategic plan. The Lean Transformation program involves creating a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring buy-in at all levels of the organization.

Certification Courses

HCAC’s FLAGSHIP courses are unique and unprecedented in their respective fields. Delivered in both English and Arabic, these courses require participants to complete classroom training, a field project and presentation, followed by an examination in order to get certified. The re-certification, which occurs every 2 years, also requires proof of continuing education in the subject topic. So far, HCAC offers five such courses:
